Mainly because of the main message and story behind the entire song. Everything is played/recorded by ear. (I'd love to score this someday!) We start off with the opening ceremony of the Olympics (Equestria Games) with a custom, powerful fanfare symbolizing unity and togetherness. Then, the movement takes off with brass and woodwinds/strings complementing one another in a dance. The song then slows and progresses softly in another symbol of togetherness, telling many stories. The violins represent purity, and then the piano part progresses. Winter Wrap Up and A True, True Friend begin to play: two songs that powerfully symbolize the ultimate message in teamwork, friendship, and love. The movement continues with the Indian Flute and String Orchestra: here, we learn that no matter what, good will always triumph over evil. And then the celebration fanfare begins again. In the final ending, everything slows down in order to take in the majestic mood. The violin and chorus bring it all together, and then the end...to which the song teaches us, we will all truly be...Forever United ________________________________________________ Special Thanks/Updates: EQD Spotlight! http://www.equestriadaily.com/2014/04/spotlight-music-forever-united.html *You, the listener. Without you, I never would have I could produce an entire custom Orchestral suite with minimal equipment and no DAW workstation! Your encouragement is priceless. *Daniel Ingram: Writer to the original "Winter Wrap Up" and "A True, True Friend". *Radiarc: for making suggestions about the volume of the low brass/overall reverb, as well as encouragement. *Austin Smith: For being a faithful subscriber/listener and offering feedback. *Shirok0802: The main reason why the muted trumpet section became more broad. Great suggestion! *My family: For encouragement and overall support of this hobby, which is turning more into something I may go back to school for :) ________________________________________________ Amazing Art: Equestria Games Logo http://www.deviantart.com/art/Equestria-Games-2014-430756804 Crystal Empire Image 1 http://mlp.wikia.com/wiki/File:Crystal_Empire_S3E12.png Arena 1 and other Pics http://mlp.wikia.com/wiki/Crystal_Empire/Gallery Crystal Empire Vector http://www.deviantart.com/art/Crystal-Empire-338795754 Character Art By Tzolkine http://tzolkine.deviantart.com/gallery/ Aerial Landscape http://www.deviantart.com/art/Equestria-424655726 ________________________________________________ Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/silverwingmusic ________________________________________________ *A message to other artists* What I have learned in this journey (especially with this song) is you don't need super fancy equipment or expensive DAW's (Digital Audio Workstations) to make your piece. Sure, it becomes a lot easier! But the greatest challenge and reward is learning how to create something with what you have; do what you do, and do it well! As for me, I bought a $170 plug-in with the ability to record standalone, and used a midi-keyboard to record each part separately (trial and error, and lots of patience!) My smartphone kept the tempo as I would try to listen and record new parts. I then transferred the files one by one into Audacity (after about 50 layers) and finalized the song months later. Sure, you can spend over $300-500 on equipment and software, but challenge yourself with what you have now. As long as it doesn't compromise your creativity, the sky is the limit. Learn everything you possibly can, and then upgrade! After all, your best asset in the end is yourself. So keep practicing!
