"Want you to make me feel like I'm the only girl in the world"

I really identify with this song, because to me, it means to love the people around you, and ultimately, being the evangelist of them.

Its deeper to me than just referring to a significant other in your life -- you should make all the people in your life feel special, exclusive, and important. I'm fortunate to know all the people in my life I hang with, and there's something inside of me that just gets excited when I see them. It's awesome, because it's authentic, and it makes everyone know they're wanted, and appreciated.

I wanted this arrangement to bring out those feelings. I wanted the flutes to drive the power behind the words "you make me feel like the only...". In order to do this I had to have the basses play a simple line, so that the flutes could "take the spotlight". Like the original piece, the drums are loud, and the bass is booming, and the horn add the passion and dynamics I wanted to have in order to express these thoughts.

I remember how Charlie Sheen recently (and famously) mentioned about being full of winning, but it's true,. Ultimately, it's about "if you're not saying Hell Yea! Then say no." If you're surrounded by something you're not passionate about, then you change it.

This piece is about having everything in your life be about friends you love, a career you're passionate about, plans you're anxious for, a city you love living in, and more. I wanted to capture those thoughts into the orchestra, and I hope it speaks to you in the same way it spoke to me.
