I remember shortly after the Columbine Shooting happened, our choir teacher had us sing this song, as did other schools in the country at the time. I never forgot how beautiful the song was, and the memory of that song stuck with me to this day, despite never hearing it again til i went looking for it. I couldn't imagine how traumatic it was to go through that, whether your a parent, teacher, or student. And with the rise in school shootings, to the point where even one of my friends was afraid when they did a drill and didn't say it was a drill, making the experience way too close to reality, and i remember being scared of that happening to us when i was in school. I hope that the students, teachers, parents, and anyone else who has suffered through these shootings, can make it through these tragedies and hope that life becomes better for you, and i hope that the ones no longer with us will rest in peace.
