It's been a while since I've made a video. But I'm back. And I'm here to demo vocal "gender shifting". It's a little rough, I admit, but I'm fairly happy with it.

What did you use to make this?
FL Studio: Harmor and NewTone

Why does it sound bad?
This effect requires drastic pitch and formant alteration. It is nearly impossible to avoid artifacting with such large changes.

Will you be doing a tutorial on this effect?
Yes. But I plan on refining my approach before doing so.

Disclaimer: I am aware that sex and gender are not the same thing, that there are more than two genders, that gendered feelings come in a variety of degrees and directions, and that all of this is distinct from sexual orientation. I chose to do this effect this way as it is more in line with most people's simplified understanding of gender. Gender is complicated, more complicated than I wanted to get into with this simple video.
