I checked out this anime on Netflix instant streaming a few weeks ago and absolutely fell in love with the soundtrack. So I decided to try and make a Pogo style track using a sample from one of the songs on the soundtrack as the backing music and take vocal snippets from some of my favorite episodes/moments in the series.

This track was definitely a real challenge to put together. I knew after watching this series that I wanted to do some kind of song about it, but I didn't just want to remix some song from the soundtrack. So I decided to do something a little different and attempt to make a Pogo style remix of the show. There were a few hurdles I had to work my way through, like the fact that the beat I was using was roughly half the speed of the normal Pogo track (requiring either more, or longer vocal snippets), or the fact that I had to cheat and use Autotune to get some of the vocals to actually conform to the proper notes instead of being like half a semitone off from sounding good. But all in all I'm pretty happy with how it turned out, I only hope that this track is received a little more positively then my previous attempt at doing something like this (and I think it will be, for one I actually can enjoy listening to this song).

People who regularly follow my music may notice some similarities between this song and my previous song, "Dream of Me." Honestly, I think doing Dream of Me really helped move this track in a good direction. I applied some of the things I learned from doing that into this track and I think it shows.
