It's like a combination of an epic villain song and an awesome wedding intro (well, it is). I transcribed this song back when it first came out, but at the time, I wasn't all that great at transcribing. My original transcription had tons of errors in it, plus the video quality was horrible. But now, WeimTime and I have decided to revisit this old classic and redo it! Since TDA is so complex, we made a duet so that we could capture all of its epicness. Now, before you download the sheets and try to play the duet with someone, there's some important information you'll need: - The key signature is "wrong", but it's intentional. I wrote the entire piece in C# minor. In reality however, the piece constantly switches between C# major/Db major and C# minor/Db minor and it ends in B minor. The reason why I didn't put in any key changes is because they happen too frequently. In the beginning of the piece, it swaps between major and minor roughly every 4 bars. Marking all the key changes would've made the score look very ugly. The reason why I chose C# minor is because it's the easiest key to read. Db minor is NEVER used in conventional notation and C# major is rare. Db major is common and I was considering using that instead of C# minor. However, I would've had to include several double flats throughout the score. C# minor ends up having the fewest "weird" accidentals. - You'll notice that there are many spots where there are multiple dynamic markings. For example, it'll tell you to play your right hand loudly but your left hand softly. Sometimes, one hand will have the melody while the other one is playing a very soft instrument. Obviously, you'll need to bring out the melody while keeping the background instrument quiet. If you encounter a spot that only has one dynamic marking, that means both hands should follow that instruction. - Primo is the upper part while secondo is the lower part. Therefore, the primo should sit on the right while the secondo sits on the left. - There is one section near the end where the primo has these really fast arpeggios. For each group of notes, play the highest note with your LEFT hand. To do that, leap with your left hand up to that note while your right hand is playing its notes. This allows your right hand to stay in the same spot and play the same notes, thus making it easier to play. - The tempo markings aren't exactly accurate. TDA has tons of tempo changes that are hard to account for, so it's hard to tell exactly what happens in terms of speed. Therefore, when playing this piece, you don't have to follow my tempo changes precisely. Go as fast or as slow as you want. Anyways, I hope you enjoy the transcription! Next up is "Don't Mine At Night", despite it being a remix of a remix of a Katy Perry song lol. Please leave a comment, give a like, and subscribe if you want! Thanks!
