This song is from another from my 2013 Album, Reflections. This song literally just popped into my head and wrote itself in 15 minutes as me and my family were driving down the road, headed out to go camping. I had a girl I was seeing at the time, and so this song is about missing here a bit, but knowing that it wouldn't be too long before I'd see her again. I grabbed my guitar from the back seat, and had Jackson grab the ukulele, and this was the result. https://garrisonulrich.bandcamp.com/album/reflections It is really one of my favorite songs, and has a great feel to it, but I don't enjoy listening to it anymore. The reason is that I've played this song hundreds of times over and over and over again. You see, my brother Christian brought this album in to his dance class, and the dance instructor decided to use this song in their recital, and asked if I would play it live. When I agreed, I ended up going to dance practice to play it live for them, about a gazillion times to practice. Needless to say, I didn't want to play it for a long long time after that. It still is a pretty good song though. Hope you enjoy it! Lyrics: _______ (v1) Would it be alright if I'm not home tonight, Would it be okay if I'm not home today, Give me just a little bit of time To rid myself of all the straight lines, Cause I'm in the mood for the kind of road that winds, (chorus 1) Cause everything is dandy knowing momma's at the wheel, Who could've ever known the wind was so real, Driving down the road is like climbing up the stairs cause, Hey, can't wait 'til we get there, Hey, can't wait 'til we get there, (v2) Do me a favor and call me in the morning, Cause I can't really wait to hear the sound of your musical voice, I'm sorry in advance if I'm still asleep, But hey, you can still leave a message at the beep, I'll call you right back if I'm not out of range, (repeat chorus 1) (chorus 2) All I can do is think about you, As I look at the window at the beautiful view, Cause heading back home is like being in my dreamland, Hey, I know you're gonna be there, Hey, I know you're gonna be there, (bridge) Soon, soon, soon, I'll be there, soon, (repeat chorus 1 & 2)
