original song is "It's a Fine Day" by Jane, 1983.

SCP-407, "The Song of Genesis", is a song that causes vegetation to gradually burst from the body of the listener, forming an entire ecosystem by 40 minutes of listening time. It was featured in Episode 2 of SCP: Confinement by Lord Bung. Canonically SCP-407 is supposed to be sung in an unknown language, but I think Lord Bung's choice fits very well.

I used LMMS, Audacity, and Bestplugins IR pack 7-8 to record this. Electric guitar is DI and acousic was recorded on my phone. This was also an excercise in adding synths and drums to a track with no steady rhythm. I ended up changing the tempo every measure and letting the drums drag a little. I think it gives it a human, melancholic feel.
