Now this is the story all about how
My life got flipped, turned upside down
And I'd like to take a minute just sit right there
I'll tell you how I became the Princess called Night Mare

In Olde Equestria, foaled and raised.
In harmony with my sis was how I spent most of my days.
She brought the warm sun; I brought the pale moon,
And all round balance we two did attune. 

When a couple of ponies couldn't see all my good.
Started sleepin' and snorin' my neighhhhborhood.
I got a little bitter and Celestia declared
And said "You're movin' to the moon. You're banished Luna, Nightmare."

C'mon sis. You're kidding, you're kidding right?
And after a thousand years, I wanted eternal night.
If anything I could say "Huzzah, the fun's been doubled."
But I thought, "Neigh, being unloved makes you troubled"

I pulled up to the Canterlot about seven or eight'er,
and I yelled to the ponies, "Yo foals, my power is greater!"
Looked at my kindgom. Take that Celestia!
To rule in darkness as Princess of Equestria.
