I've completely rebuilt the castle on the island. It's not that important to the gameplay, but it's significant to the backstory and I wasn't very happy with the old one. It's not quite finished, as most of the rooms are still empty. I'd also like to make it look more weathered and old, but the structure itself is complete and I have a floorplan detailing the rĂ¥le of each room. I've been spending a lot of time optimising the rendering code. I'll leave out the details, but the result is I am now able to record the game at 60 frames per second in 720p with maximum graphics settings, as shown in this video. This should be helpful to those of you with lower-end computers. I've also given the camera code a small overhaul, resulting in less jittery camera movements, and I've improved the collision checking in general. The result is I can now allow faster speeds because there is no longer any risk of objects passing through each other if they move too quickly. The backer surveys are finally sent to everyone it may concern, and I've started working on the rewards. I've been talking to suppliers for the physical goods, and I've started ordering samples for evaluation. I expect to have the physical rewards ready well in advance so that I don't have to worry about them. I've also started getting in contact with the backers who got the Original Character and Enemy Design tiers, so getting those done is a big priority right now. Finally, if you want to follow the development more closely, then you can follow me on Twitter, where you will get notified whenever code changes are committed. I also created a separate Youtube channel for unedited video footage. As a rule I will not respond to comments on that channel, but you can subscribe to it if you want some more glimpses into what I'm working on. I'll put any relevant links in the video description.
