Brony@Home (bronyathome.org) is a group dedicated to donating computing power to various medical and general research projects. Our purpose is to combine a love for technology with the philosophy of kindness and generosity espoused in My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. The projects we support include Folding@Home, World Community Grid, and Rosetta@Home; each of which focus on protein folding for disease research helping to fight cancer, Alzheimer's, AIDS, and other diseases. The group holds a number of competitions each year, and currently has over 1000 members contributing computing time. Come to learn more about what distributed computing is, what projects we are working on, and how you can donate your spare CPU cycles to science!
