(Apologies in advanced for the shoddy camerawork. I had some trouble with my capture program.) So there's this bizarre little Italian movie you may have never heard of called "The Legend of 1900." It's about an infant who was, after a series of highly improbable circumstances, left on an ocean liner. There, he grew into a strapping young lad with a penchant for ivory tickling....or so the legend goes. Truthfully, I can openly admit it's not a brilliant movie, its own idiosyncrasies often getting in the way of any sense of coherent narrative. But there is one thing the movie does right: The music. This is a tune played by the titular character for the one and only record he ever made. It's sappy, overly-emotional and has an annoyingly technical introduction that isn't allowed to sound technical. And I love it. I also love my new piano, graciously donated by my good friend and graphic artist handyman Krazythefox. He makes music too, so go check him out. It's quite good! I am considering uploading sheet music of this piece as all the editions I've found online were riddled with inaccuracies. If you're interested, let me know in the comments!
