Hey, everyone!

After Paradise got such an overwhelming response, I got stuck trying to write something that could "live up to everyone's expectations." While we're all waiting for that to happen, have a re-mastered version of my other "best song" - Phoenix, Rise!

In the ruins of the castle in the woods
Burned down to the ground where I stood
I cried

I sank to my knees and wept
Cold, lonely, poor and spent
"How I tried..."

When from the depths of doubt
A voice cries out,

"Phoenix, Rise!"

I looked up and the phoenix was there
Bright, lustrous, golden, fair
And I sighed

And I watched as the phoenix grew old
Burned down to the ashes cold
And I hide

And back from the ashes came
That bird of flame

"Phoenix, Rise!"

In time I built a castle in the clouds
Standing tall and proud
I still cry

I count the seasons come and gone
I look back and I never move on

But when the phoenix sings
My spirit rings
