If you didn’t already know this is one of my favorite Melanie Martinez songs. It has an incredible message. Basically the world is screwed up. People use things like plastic surgery to change what they look like and be the “perfect girl”. Well listen here, there is no perfect girl. No one is perfect and you don’t have to look like anyone. You are beautiful just the way you are. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.

For someone with a lot of self doubt and insecurities this song really hits home.

And I am still advocating that those of you who haven’t heard Melanie Martinez’s songs check them out. They really are works of art. The realest songs I’ve heard in a while. They are very powerful. I've got more Melanie covers on the way!
