RANT:

Look, if you’re in the MLP fandom, or the brony/pegasister YouTube fandom then you know exactly what I’m about to rant about. If you’d like to stick around and voice your opinion and listen to mine, then here you go! If you aren’t in the fandom or you don’t even care about what happened recently, then you may go. Thank you.

So, last night there was a big “problem”. A pony youtuber left the fandom and deleted their videos. Now, you know who I’m talking about. I don’t want to get into names and stuff. Because first of all, I don’t have anything to do with this, so I have no place to say anything about this matter. However, I just wanted to say how this problem makes me feel when we’re talking about the MLP community as a whole. If you’re a bit confused, then here’s the gist of it. A youtuber got really upset because something that happened with some other youtubers. I don’t even know what really happened and I don’t know who was involved, so I cannot side with anyone here. Let’s just say that the person who left was a big inspiration for me. Seeing them leave was really heartbreaking. We all lost an inspiration that day. We all lost faith in one thing that day. Well, I know I did. The MLP fandom. I knew from the beginning that this fandom was toxic. I’ve been in some terribly toxic fandoms. But this fandom is sooo big and filled with so many people of different ages and genders. This fandom was just set up for failure. There have been so many problems with this fandom and the people in this fandom for years now. I love MLP. It’s such a happy show. It lets people be who they want to be. It makes so many people smile. But the fandom, that’s a different story. I’m not attacking anyone right now. I’m a part of the fandom. And there are so many amazing people and amazing works made in this fandom. This fandom has been so much fun. But alas, it has also been a pain in the butt. All my pony friends thank you! Thank you for showing me the beauty of friendship and the beauty of this show. I love you!!! I’m so in love with YouTube and this fandom is a big reason for it. However, nothing’s perfect. It hurts me that we can’t come together and really say “friendship is magic”. Just way too many problems in the last years. There’s no way to fix them. So many people have left this fandom too. I don’t blame them. I’ll be honest with you, I kind of want this fandom to end. I don’t want any of you to misinterpret this, but you might, because I’m not great at words. I’m just saying that this fandom is toxic, and one of the worst fandoms I’ve been a part of. It’s pretty sad, because this is a happy show about friendship. BUT, I won’t leave, because I’ve made sooo many friends. And I love all my pony friends more than the world. Thank you my pony friends for showing me friendship.

Yes, that was probably the longest rant I’ve ever done on YouTube. I don’t regret it tho. Even if a lot of it didn’t make sense. It’s the morning I’m tired lol. The point is, I have strong feelings about this fandom. Some go up and some go down. How do you feel about this fandom? I’d really love to know.
