Digi Bros Discuss: Breath of the Wild! A game Victor has been playing since it came out, and Digibro just beat yesterday. On Vic's Let's Play show, Vic & Hope, he champions a playstyle of deliberately sticking to the roads, whereas Digi spent all his time in the mountains. I feel I should apologize for just how many times I repeat and hammer on about the sort of "main point" I make in this video. I don't want it to come off as though this complaint makes the game "bad" as opposed to "good." It's more like it makes the game "great" as opposed to "amazing." 

Ultimately, I would give Breath of the Wild an 8/10 based on my experiences with it so far, and I think that score could easily go up to a 9 or even a 10 if I spent enough time in it and experimenting with it. However, I don't know if I will ever do that, because I would have to convince myself it was a better use of my time than doing something else. 

Breath of the Wild is a game with a hell of a lot of capacity; but there are many, many works of art which you can inevitably come to love because you've spent so much time exploring its minutiae. If you don't find yourself disposed to doing so, however, it is likely out of lack of engagement with what was already there on the surface or was meant to drag you into its depths. My hopes for the sequel are for it to do a better job dragging me down. But more on that in the video!
