Now, Astral Veil's condition is under 31 minutes. It won't be so hard for earthpony and pegasus, I guess.

Earthponies have lowest INT among all races, but their skills itself have very high damage multiplier.
If you have proper wizard equipment, earthpony's skills will be more like main weapon than regular attacks and ordinary critical arts.

Also, Lance's critical art have a potential to gain massive speed by abusing uphill.
It's Kinda difficult and consumes a lot of MP, but it's so awesome /)^ɛ^(\
