Growing up in the fandom since 2012 I’ve always dealt with backlash and hate, that which is typical for anyone in this community to experience. I went through all of high school with the fear of becoming a social outcast. Many times throughout my time in the fandom, I’d been told that I wasn’t capable of doing what I wanted. I can even recall a time where my cousin and her friend both found out I was a brony making music, to that I was told “you’ll probably be terrible”. “In a Rush” is a song about overcoming these things; everyday I fear less being ridiculed for who I am and what I hope to accomplish because It’s clear to me now that with the overwhelming support and positivity from this community has pushed me to be a better person both in my craft and as a human being. So to anyone who ever told me I was incapable, respectfully go fuck yourself. :) Thank you to those who make me who I am; you, listening to this song. You grant me the ability to send a message.
