I was inspired by old school folk music like Pete Seeger and Harry McClintock, and I wanted to make a song about poor little Trouble Shoes. Old folk music is so simple, but it just strikes a chord with you. I don’t think there are really any songs about Trouble Shoes, which is sad because I love that stallion. Recording this was a pain in the rump, but I just wanted to just post it already. I’m rhythmically off in some parts, as the fingerpicking style i chose was a bit outside of my level, it was difficult to record to a metronome, and the new microphone Im using is more prone to background noise (Still trying to get the hang of all this new equipment I have). Then again, old folk/country music kind of sounded like that anyway, so I guess it fits the style. Thank y’all. Lyrics, download, and artwork below.
