I finally have time to dedicate to the game again, so this week I've been cleaning up the Melinda boss battle. The code was old and neglected, but I've rewritten a lot of it and ironed out several bugs. The improved code quality will make maintenance and balancing easier later on. Aside from that my goal has been to improve the overall flow of the battle. The amount of dead time and aimless flailing is reduced, but the openings in Melinda's defence are more clearly defined and exploitable. I've been meaning to update this battle for a while and I'm happy to get it up to the current standards. In the near future I'll get back to work on level design.
