Whelp. Alrighty then.

So, basically this song's about Spike when all of the mane six have passed away. It's not too descriptive, so it's really up to the listener how to interpret this. Maybe he grew up and they died of old age. Maybe they left on a mission from the princess and never came back. I dunno. Knock yourself out.

I had a cold the whole time recording this, which I thought might give me an interesting new sound, but it unfortunately did not. All it did was make it much more difficult to get the sound I wanted. Even so, I really like this track. Especially the second verse, which was just a lot of fun to write and record.

I'm definitely more satisfied with this chorus than the one in "A Shipper's Revenge." Reverb is the shit.
