YAMAHA GRAND PIANO OUT OF NOWHERE For those wondering about why the sudden change in piano: the School of Education at the university I go to granted me permission to use their woefully-underused (poor thing!) Yamaha grand piano on weekends - I go in and collect the key on Friday, play to my heart's content on Saturday and Sunday, then drop the key back off on Monday. Super-big thanks to the Dean of Education and the staff at the Education office! So long as it doesn't get scratched, dented, stained, bent, spontaneously combusted or otherwise broken, I have access to a grand piano for recording, too! (My piano teacher has encouraged me to play on as many grand pianos as I can as I progress onto more difficult music to encourage my experience and growth as a pianist.) As to the actual song - well, Song of Healing, I'm sure you know it, who doesn't? Very simple piece, probably one of the most covered Zelda songs at that, so here's mine to add to the billion others already plaguing YouTube =P The reason I did this - aside from the fact that it's, well, so damn easy - is because a friend requested that I learn this song for him, and I figured, well, I need videos to keep people interested while I sort out covers, so this'll be a nice one to throw in while I work on other pieces! I won't go into the history of this song much - mostly because I'm too lazy. Besides, if you've played Majora's Mask, you already know about the song, and if you haven't played it, you probably don't play video games and/or you're probably not interested enough to learn the background behind the song (and if you are interested, you'd get much more just looking it up on one of the many, many, MANY Nintendo or Zelda wikis and forums on the internet). I haven't included sheet music because the copy I used I actually purchased (derp - it WAS cheap though), and I did a variation/interpretation on that. As such I'll only say it was based off an arrangement by Master-Sayien (sic). Chances are you can get a free copy if you Google it, and not have to pay ~10c like I did. I MIGHT transcribe my version in SongWriter. If people show enough interest, I suppose.
