This was actually taking in the same practice session as my Italian concerto practice session video, but due to time constraints I was unable to upload them together. Reverie is a hauntingly beautiful melody composed by Debussy in 1890, and while not as popular or renowned as his preludes (L 117, book 1, and L 123, book 2) and certainly not Suite bergamasque (L 75), it is still definitely one to be taken into careful consideration when pursuing Debussy's works, at least for solo piano. The piece could be loosely painted in sonata form, with the exposition being played in F major before entering a development in E major - which admittedly kills any possibility of it being a sonata - and then briefly turning to C major before returning to F major for the recapitulation. I'm personally quite happy with the phrasing on this piece so far - there's not a great deal I want to alter so much as simply work out any technical kinks that I'm still encountering (missed notes being the obvious target, which absolutely destroy any semblance of flow that the piece might otherwise have had). For the most part I think diligent practice will bring it up to performance/upload-level quality, and I predict that will hopefully come to pass at the end of January. Enjoy!
