The knife is not the Spy's only weapon. As discussed in the announcement on melee weapons, the Spy's knives are slow, do pitiful damage, and can not get random critical hits making them worthless for anything but backstabs. Trying to make-up for missed stabs with "butterknifing", or trying to shimmy your way to your enemy's back in plain sight is a good way to get you killed. If your cover is blown, or you're in a tight spot, make a tactical retreat while taking shots with the revolver. You can also use it to discourage pursuers, take out weak enemies at a range, chip away at Engineers and Pyros guarding sentry nests, speed up the destruction of a sapped building, and quickly kill Snipers using the Razorback. Don't forget: You have a gun. __________ "Team Service Announcement" is a series where the common mistakes and unused strategies of new and inexperienced players are blown out of proportion and explained in an attempt to help those who make them, as well as make my life less horrible. If you know someone who's new to the game, is in need of some pointers, or just want to spread the message, share the videos and help improve the community. If you're a frustrated player who would like something addressed, or a new player who would like something explained, leave it in the comments section, and maybe I'll animate it. __________ Music: Peter Bjorn and John - Nothing to Worry About Chris Redfield's theme from Marvel vs. Capcom 3 ____________ Steam Group: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/anangrysockpuppet Tumblr: http://krunkidile.tumblr.com/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/Krunkidile Patreon: http://www.patreon.com/krunkidile ___________
