All flame throwers (except the Phlogistinator)  can airblast by right-clicking. Use it on your teammates to put out a fire, on incoming rockets and grenades to send them back at enemies, or on ubercharged enemies to keep them from moving forward.

Do this, and you'll receive both bonus points, and brownie points for helping your team. Way to go, kid.
