The choices are about what the characters want. Rarity's a tailor that wants more in life. She wants to be respected from the upper class while still being able to give to the common people.

Rainbow Dash is from a very wealthy family and, though this was never outright stated in the show, obviously wanted more than that life. She got a public service job when she came to Ponyvile and we all know her parents didn't make her do that.

I really really want to do this whole soundtrack but I have another cast that I want to do it with too... I hope to get a lot of motivation to do it all... I... haven't had any for anything lately.
