If you hadnt read it though i'll fill you in Sonic and Manic were brother's, however over time they grew apart and Sonic found A new Brother/Master/Best friend. Hi name is Bartleby Monclair. In the tv show he was Sonia's fiance.
Anyway's Sonic and Bartleby are after the legendary sword made by Bartleby's ancestor's. It is the supposedly the strongest clan in existance. However One person stand's in the way of the quest. Knuckles the echidna. Im pretty sure you all know him though. Sonic and Bartleby must kill him to profil there destiny.
Manic no longer the brother of Sonic is trying to save him claiming Bartleby is evil and useing some dark magic to control him.
That's about it actually
I suggest you read the Sonic underground comic book series to get the full effect however!
